My latest haul from one of my favourite beauty brands, Burberry features their Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Ash Brown (No. 03) and my picks from their spring/summer collection. Burberry's S/S 2015 "The Birds and the Bees" colour story is inspired by the "sheer fabrics, patent textures and vivid shades of the Prorsum runway. The look features luminous skin, colour-washed eyes and deep ruby red lips. Nails are bright in sky blue hues and pink flower tones". The collection includes three new eye shadows - Wet & Dry Silk Shadows (that can be applied dry or on a damp brush for more intensity) in Aqua Green, Stone Blue, Rose Pink and Tea Rose. This formula is new and different from their Sheer Eye Shadows, which can only be used dry (see here, here and here for related posts). I believe the three new shades have been added to the permanent line, so I haven't rushed out to get any of them as yet (even though I'm curious to see how these compare with the Sheer Eye Shadows that are one of my most favourite eye shadows!). I picked up four of the six nail colours in Stone Blue, Imperial Blue, Aqua Green and Hydrangea Pink. (The other two shades I did without are Bright Coral Red and Pink Azalea (repromote) as I already have a few very similar shades to these). All the nail colours with the exception of one are limited edition. Last, but not least, is the gorgeous, slightly quirky and fun artwork from the Prorsum collection: the "Rain or Shine" limited edition powder palette, which has been originally hand-painted in the Burberry studio. The palette features "colours from the womenswear collection: Pink Azalea and Bright Coral Red sit alongside a nude cloud on a Hydrangea Pink background".
Oh, and I just adored the packaging that my order came in that I had to share the happy snaps. Love! ^_^
So, can't wait to play with these gorgeous beauties. Do stay tuned for swatches and reviews if you're interested.
[Update: The nail colours are now swatched and reviewed HERE]
Meanwhile, hope you're having a great week. The weekend is finally nearing! Yay!!
