Hold on ladies,
this isn't just a scrub! This is an exfoliating scrub! Hold on to your seats!
Just kidding.
Alright, let's get to business right away. This is a 25 euro scrub by Clinique and comes in a pretty large tube: 100 ml. It's a thick white paste that doesn't look gritty but is actually one of the grittiest scrubs I've ever tried. The grains are so dense that it feels like soft sand paper. Very good against flakes.
The product is so minty that it feels like burning or irritating my skin, but nothing lasting. It so thick and minty I don't like to use it near my eye area, which I can with other, more gentle scrubs.
Although at first this scrub made a big difference and made my face feel very smooth and polished, the effect didn't last and now my skin feels like always again after using this. Yet it hasn't improved. I still get spots and flakes.
I tried to calculate which is cheaper: scrubbing once a week with this or using lemon and sugar. A lemon is like 1 euro these days so let's say it takes 50 cents or half a lemon to make a scrub paste for one use. The sugar is virtually free. The tube is 25 euros and I can get approximately 25 uses out of it. Yeah a lemon-sugar scrub is half as cheap and works just as well. In fact it's completely natural, anti-bacterial, safe, non-minty and non irritating. So I recommend just making lemon-sugar scrubs with some fine sugar (not extra fine).
So why did I still buy this scrub? Because I love beauty products.
